ACT PREPARATORY COURSESEnrichment OpportunitiesAdvantage Educational Programs, in cooperation with Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Community Education, will offer their ACT prep courses to students. Are you uneasy about your test-taking skills or unsatisfied with previous ACT results? This may be the course for you. Different course formats allow students to choose the one that best suits their learning styles and personal circumstances. Students are also able to make up any classes they miss, and all courses may be repeated online at no additional charge. Virtual ACT Prep Course: Virtual classroom meets for three hours, one day each week, for four weeks and is taught live, via zoom, by an Advantage instructor who provides instruction and interaction with the students. Internet connection and access to a computer or laptop is required. Class recordings are available for students who need to make up any missed classes. Self-Paced Online ACT Prep Course: This course is designed for students preferring to prepare for the ACT exam on their own schedule and at their own pace. Instruction is pre-recorded and provided online using videos and slides. Once enrolled, students may use the access code they receive to navigate through the course on their own timeline throughout the year. Once enrolled, students are sent an access code for their class via email and can begin preparing. Participants will receive more information regarding class access in their course registration confirmation. Online course materials are available at any time and are accessible for a full year, however, you can re-enroll to access the course again, free of charge.2026-2027 -
SPANISH CAMP GR K-4Enrichment OpportunitiesIn this afterschool camp kids explore the world of sports, colors, animals, food and so much more while learning Spanish through interactive activities, and games. Campers will build vocabulary, practice mini conversations while having fun! Each series will have different activities. Sign up for 1 series or multiple! KIDS’ FUN NIGHT OUT…. PARENTS’ NIGHT OUT!Enrichment OpportunitiesDo your kids want a fun place to go when you are out for a Friday evening? Drop your kids off at HLWW Activity Center located at the Middle School. We want it to be a great opportunity for both the kids and parents! To begin, we’ll have free time in the gym, craft project, then break for a snack and finish with a projected movie. This program will be supervised by Community Education Staff. Please pack a labeled water bottle. You may also want to bring a pillow, sleeping bag and pajamas for the movie. Children must be toilet trained to attend. Please complete your registration at least one week before each date for staffing purposes. May fill prior.2026-2027
